In which specific area does our expertise lie?
The expertise of gc Consulting lies in the fact that we consider ourselves to be; industry experts, experienced operators, focussed individuals, pro-active and implementers of change.

How do we approach the task?
This process is not undertaken lightly. Many areas of a company’s organisation are visited and discussed, both from a bottom up and a top down approach.
This approach allows an analysis to be undertaken, reviews to be discussed with both senior and middle management and suggestions in the improvement of the process. Whilst viewing both the current strategy and operational efficiency, aspects of the change are evaluated to assess the overall impact to the organisation.

Where do we begin?
This is the most common question we encounter when companies decide to improve. In this respect we can quickly and efficiently frame the supply-chain problems, a methodology that considers the processes, people and information needs across the business. With the right people present an initial review can be completed within a matter of a few days. This will normally include the company’s ability to understand demand, manage inventories, balance demand with supply and produce the right product at the right time. It will from this, identify the areas that improvement can be made and will be of a measurable value to the business. Our strategy is to highlight small, incremental things that are non-disruptive and fit within an overall vision for the supply-chain; however in some cases major surgery may be required.

How do we make the change?
We apply constructive operations planning experience to every implementation, and extract from this experience best practices of many of our clients without conjuring thoughts that “one suit fits all”, which in all probability may not work for your company.
One of the most common errors that companies make is they force their business process to conform to software applications or technological tools and call that “improvement”. When companies make this mistake, they lose their competitive processes which made them unique and gave them an advantage in the first place.
